We hired Acorn Builders to rebuild our home damaged as a result of a fire. Larry immediately took over the project which included removing the old roof and demolition of the sheet rock, insulation and flooring. He had sub-contractors lined up to come in without delays. We appreciated his advice in choosing flooring, cabinets and lighting fixtures - always keeping us on budget. We had good communication with him throughout the whole project and our home was finished in a shorter time than anticipated. We found Larry talented in every facet of construction, a perfectionist in every detail. We would highly recommend him to anyone who is considering building or remodeling.

I met Larry Oaks about 4 years ago after he was recommended to me for a remodel at my old house. He was able to take an indoor hot tub room and turn it into a master bedroom and walk in closet flawlessly. In the spring of 2009, my husband and I decided to move my business into our home. This would require a significant addition to our small home. In the slow economy there were many contractors looking for work. We started taking bids from those we knew. As all these numbers and time lines came in, I remembered that Larry Oaks had built a friend's addition, and she was very happy with the whole process. We called Larry, his bid was affordable, and his time line was the shortest. Most impressive to both of us was his demeanor. Larry was easy to work with. He listened. He thought things through. He worked with our ideas, and had great feedback. He had original ideas. He worked to keep it all within our budget, and still was able to pull it all together on deadline. We are both very happy we went through with the construction project. We now have a much more practical arrangement for both our home and my business, and my overhead is a third of where it was before we built.
